Dabur Honey unveils new ‘Sweetness of Giving Back’ CSR campaign on Bijoya Dashami

There is a saying that “Sharing and giving are the ways of God”. On the occasion of Bijoya Dashmi, Dabur Honey announced a new CSR initiative to support the livelihoods of honey collectors in the Sundarbans, who have seen their livelihoods affected due to several cyclones and massive flooding in the region in recent months. Called ‘Sweetness of Giving Back’, this initiative aims to support the families of these honey collectors in these difficult times.
“The honey collectors of the Sundarbans are the backbone of the honey industry in India. The floods, which came in the wake of the devastating second wave of COVID, severely affected livelihoods in the Sundarbans region, destroying crops and even leading to a shortage of drinking water in villages. As part of our mission to support families of honey collectors, Dabur will provide dry rations and other basic necessities for the next year to 23 families identified in this region who work as honey collectors. This is not only in line with our mission to be “dedicated to the health and well-being of every home”, but also to spread festive smiles during this time of Durga Puja, “said Kunal Sharma, Category Manager. Dabur India Ltd – Health Supplements.
To pay tribute to the Honey Collectors of Sundarbans, Dabur Honey also unveiled a digital film that seeks to promote the hard work of this community. Capture the festive spirit through the happy faces celebrating Durga Puja with a delicious appetizing Sandesh made from the fruit of their own labor namely Dabur Honey.

The film is conceptualized and produced by ICE Media Lab, a content store specializing in premium branded films. Debojit Saha, Creative Head, ICE Media Lab, said: “The sight of the flood hit the village and the condition of the villagers surprised us when we got there! “
“During our previous mission, we worked, ate and chatted with these people and the feeling was even more intense. Once Dabur decided to give back to the Sunderbans honey collectors, we decided to participate with them. When we picked up the relief supplies, including clothes, food, and candy, their joy was limitless. We captured their reaction shots when they received help without them noticing the camera was on! It feels good to have a little impact on the community, especially at the start of Durga Puja! Pure happiness! It’s a surreal feeling.
