British musician K Zie loves rap music. Ask him what he likes about rap as a genre and K Zie says, “Rap is popular right now, not just in the UK but all over the world. I’ve been a fan of the genre since childhood, even when it was underground and not as mainstream as it is today. From a young age, I love songs that mix vocals and rap.

His latest issue is a rap number that marks his collaboration with popular rapper Roach Killa.

While he enjoys the rap releases of internationally renowned musicians like Lil Wayne, Eminem, 50 Cent, Drake, Travis Scott, Chipmunk, Skepta and AJ Tracey among others, K Zie also has some Indian favorites. “I love the work of Yo Yo Honey Singh, Badshah and Raftaar. I believe these guys took rap music in India to another level. They also made a mark internationally, ”he says.

Rap music has been around for a long time and it has become more and more popular lately. Explaining the reason for this growth, K Zie says, “I believe that rap music is really linked to the younger generation. Young listeners can connect with the lyrics rappers rap on. Plus, the flow and performance of the rappers make the tracks catchy and relatable. I think the music industry keeps changing and evolving, so good times for rap are inevitable. ”
